Join us for National Night Out!
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live and work. Together, we are making that happen. From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., neighbors throughout Studio City and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on their front porch lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and law enforcement.
SCNC is meeting up with LAPD and other local agencies at Beeman Park. Join us!

Legacy Business Program Trainings 6:00pm - 7:00pm
Earlier this year, the City of Los Angeles launched its Legacy Business Program, which is designed to provide different types of assistance, including grants, technical, and marketing assistance, to small businesses that have been operating in the City for 20+ years. To become eligible for these services, small businesses that qualify must apply and register as a legacy business. Our office will be hosting three info sessions, one virtually and the other two in person, to assist with these efforts. Staff from the Economic and Workforce Development Department will be present to assist small business owners with their applications.

Wildfire Virtual Town Hall will take place on:
Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
As you know, after two years of mild wildfire activity, 2024 has been a dangerous and rapidly deteriorating year for wildfires. Based on the latest information (AUG 13, 2024) from CAL FIRE and the NWS, the projections for the fall are not going to improve. This important Virtual Town Hall on wildfire readiness will give you the critical information you, your family, and your neighbors need to be as safe as possible this fall. We will discuss the controversial “Zone 0” and the latest news on fire insurance availability in California. Insurance details are changing constantly, and we’re on top of this - so we’ll share information that may make all the difference for your property this year and next. Don’t miss this important opportunity to learn how you can be better prepared for wildfire in the immediate future.
We will also share information on our next “Wildfire Safety Fair,” scheduled for SEP 14, in support of the Hollywood Hills. We’re putting this event on with the support and collaboration of Council District 4 and your Los Angeles City Fire Department. If you’re working on becoming a Fire Safe Council, we’ll be making some important announcements on progress, and we’ll share an update from the just completed wildfire resilience conference in Santa Barbara.
We encourage you to share this meeting Agenda with your NC stakeholders, especially any homeowner or association groups.
