Our 2024 Los Angeles Primary Nominating Election will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. Voters will elect candidates in a nonpartisan primary with runoff elections scheduled for Tuesday, November 5. Seven of the fifteen seats in the L.A. City Council will be up for election including Council District 2, which includes North Hollywood and the east San Fernando Valley. The CD2 incumbent is L.A. City Council President Paul Krekorian, who is term-limited and cannot seek re-election to office. This will be the first open-seat election in Council District 2 since 2009.
